Lights, sirens and lots of questions! |
||
|
On Wednesday morning we took a trip to Barnby Dun Primary school to visit some brilliant Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils - and safe to say, we may have some future recruits in the making. We spoke all about what the police do (no, it's not just drinking coffee!), showed off our uniforms, and explained some of the kit we carry - including the handcuffs, which proved very popular! The real highlight though was letting the children climb into the police car. The excitement levels went through the roof as soon as the lights flashed and the sirens sounded - pretty sure we temporarily became the most popular people in the school! Lots of great questions, loads of enthusiasm, and only a slight concern that a few of them now think the pressing the siren button is the most important part of the job! A big thank you to the school for having us – Barnby Dun Primary, you were fantastic!
